Their music ranges from ambient and textural to fierce<br \/>\n and rhythmic, exploring the sounds of acoustic instruments and electronics,<br \/>\n and often incorporating live visuals as another &#8220;instrument&#8221;. The core<br \/>\n members bring bass clarinet, haromonica, synthesizer, guitar, drums, the<br \/>\n unique Pencilina, and live performative video to the group, and guests range<br \/>\n from additional visualists to all types of musicians.<\/p>\n<p>Lumendog uses any impetus &#8212; A word, a note, an idea &#8212; to push themselves<br \/>\n outside the comfort zones of their instruments and into challenging the<br \/>\n sonic boundaries between their instruments.<\/p>\n<p>HKM+<\/p>\n<p>The ensemble HKM+ (Germany\/New York) extends musical improvisation with<br \/>\n electro-acoustic instruments that are connected to a network based on audio<br \/>\n signals and network-communication.
