{R}ake is a performance series of alternative and collaborative
\nelectro-acoustic music and video. Performances range from pure improvisation
\nto more structured pieces, with video-artists and musicians working together
\nin exploratory ways.<\/p>\n

Monkey Town is closing on January 24. Their curatorial mission and immersive
\n4-wall video setup made Monkey Town an important advocate of video in New
\nYork City, and it’s really sad seeing it succumb to the real-estate BS
\nthat’s doomed many other important alternative venues. We’re happy being
\npart of the final month and having a chance to say goodbye to the space.<\/p>\n

Monkey Town serves dinner during the show, so come hungry. Seating is
\nlimited — It’s a good idea to make reservations on their website
