\nThe Performance Space<\/p>\n
New School Jazz faculty member and alumnus Amir Ziv leads DROID in
\nconcert. The ensemble features Amir Ziv on drums, Shahzad Ismaily on
\nbass, New School Jazz faculty member Adam Holzman on synthesizer, New
\nSchool Jazz alumnus Jordan McLean on trumpet and electronics, and
\ncurrent New School Jazz student Sissy Clemens on vocals. With visuals
\nby Chris Jordan.<\/p>\n
Amir Ziv is an acclaimed artist who has been shaping the downtown New
\nYork City music scene for over 20 years. He has studied with some of the
\nmost recorded and innovative drummers in cinematic, pop, and jazz music
\nhistory including Kenwood Dennard, Efrain Toro, Jim Priess, Joe
\nChambers, Joe Porcaro, and Ralph Humphry. Adam Holzman worked with the
\nMiles Davis\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 band from 1985 to 1989 as its musical director,
\nperforming in more than 200 countries.<\/p>\n
The concerts of Jazz Presents showcase distinguished New School for
\nJazz and Contemporary Music faculty in collaboration with affiliated
\nartists and the stars of tomorrow – students and alumni of The New
\nSchool of Jazz and Contemporary Music.<\/p>\n
This series is made possible by a grant from the New York State Council
\non The Arts.<\/p>\n

\nIn person purchases can be made at The New School Box Office at 66 West
\n12th Street, main floor, Monday-Thursday 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., and Friday
