“Clerestory News” installation at Cuchifritos

February 9 – March 1, 2008

I’m thrilled to be presenting a new work at the Cuchifritos Gallery in the Essex Street Market. “Clerestory News” is a 360 degree real-time projection installation. Using four mirrors, a computer running VirTools, and one projector; “Clerestory News” raises questions of social disparity in overcrowded neighborhoods; specifically the Lower East Side. The four compass point computer “windows” require viewers to crane their necks upward, with continuous views into an illustrative, yet ultimately inaccessible world.

The show runs for three weeks.
