Over three years in the making, Quark1 is a kinetic light sculpture that explores the fluid interplay of motion, light, and matter. Encased in solid maple with a glass front, the work is powered by AC mains—requiring no batteries—allowing its quiet choreography to unfold continuously.
Within the enclosure, hand-crafted marbles, illuminated from within by shifting LEDs, drift and rotate in liquid suspension. As they move and collide, their colors merge and separate in endlessly changing patterns, echoing the invisible dance of quarks—the elemental particles that shape our universe.
Through this motion, Quark1 invites viewers into a meditation on interaction and impermanence: a space where color becomes time, and light becomes movement.

Video as an Instrument investigates the performative and generative capacities of video as a time-based medium and as a tool for real-time creation, improvisation, and interaction, much like a musical instrument.
The works in this exhibition and performance series includes generative systems, recontextualized found footage, audio-reactive visuals, and live audiovisual (A/V) performances. These practices blur the boundaries between image and sound, embracing the ephemeral nature of performed cinema. Each piece reveals a unique interplay of sonic and visual elements, unfolding in synchronous, evolving compositions.
The show includes single and multi-channel videos, a light installation, a lenticular print, and live performances.
